Punta Cometa

A rocky promontory, one of the most ancient ceremonial sites in Mexico.
Considered 'La Puerta del Sur' it turns south and is one of the few places in the Pacific Ocean where you can see the sunrise and sunset over the ocean.
A place of great energy force, visited frequently by people from all over the world in search of sacred and ancient wisdom. The 'curanderos' ensure that staying on this rock jutting out into the Pacific absorbs a large amount of cosmic energy.
From here you can enjoy the view across the rugged coastline that goes from Mazunte Puerto Angel, Puerto Escondido from the south to the north.
The only sounds are those of the leaves ruffeled perhaps by a lizard on the move, the flapping of the wings of birds, pelicans and big black gulls.
